The YP Committee is responsible for coordinating District 42 activities focused on younger members of the AA fellowship. The YP Committee Chair would be expected to be a younger person with strong sobriety, but an older person can fill this position if needed.
 

The YP Committee will purchase, collect, update, and maintain a repository of information and documents of relevance to young people in AA. This would include a list of AA meetings having a focus on younger people, event flyers, and AA literature focusing on the specific concerns of young people in recovery. The purchase of this material is coordinated with the District 42 Literature Committee.
 

The YP Committee Chair participates in the Illinois State Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous (ISCPYAA). This will ensure that the YP Committee is kept current of information relevant to younger members of AA in District 42.
