Accessibilities Committee

The Accessibilities Committee brings the AA message to individuals having difficulty participating in AA due to physical, mental, geographic, cultural, or ethnic challenges. The Committee Chair maintains a list of volunteers willing to provide rides to AA meetings and events for individuals who are not able to drive themselves. The Committee will also bring AA meetings into specific facilities for the care of the elderly (nursing homes, hospitals, etc.) as requested.

The Accessibilities Committee maintains a supply of Conference-approved literature (including Big Books, Pamphlets, and other relevant materials) that can be used by the visually and/or hearing impaired. The Committee keeps a list of individuals who can use American Sign Language, as well as individuals who are fluent in Spanish, and willing to provide support at AA meetings as needed.
